![]() Stampede Linux is proud to be sponsored by VA Research Inc. ![]() After some more (ok, lots more) driving, we finally got to Phoenix. Instead of taking in the sights, however, we had to fulfill our duty and show up for the Stampede development meeting scheduled for Saturday afternoon. This meant that we had to find somewhere that we could plug in Matt's laptop. Plan A was to go back to Eric and Chris's hotel room and borrow their phone line. However, the phone system there was some fooked up digital thing, from whence you could not remove the phone lines from the phones. Time for Plan B. If we'd been smart, we would have gotten a room somewhere else (with detachable phones lines) at that point, and irc'ed from there. However, we weren't sure we were staying the night at that point. So, we pulled out the yellow pages in search of a coffee shop with computer time for rent. We ended up at the Global Grind/Club Web, which charged the lovely sum of 15 cents per minute for computer time. This may be the most expensive devel meeting on record for Stampede. (Joyce stayed out of the devel meeting and read a book, for that reason.)

[Matt, looking thoughtful, and half of Dan]
[L to R, Matt, Joyce, Dan]
[The devel meeting took so much out of Matt.]
[Rob's foot.]
[Quite possibly the best picture taken of Joyce in ages, which is reasonably sad, considering how long we'd spent in the car by this point. (Joyce is currrently writing this web page, so she can knock on herself.)]
[Rob, looking way too happy]
